Just because they are lovely

Washed down from the surrounding mountains the rocks of the river are multi colored and beautiful . There are sandstone , quartz, jasper, fools gold and fossil stones from the bluffs. Strange how one day I hardly notice them at all, taking them for granted. Then on a day like this they stand out, demanding attention and admiration.

That is a gorgeous photo. Thank you so much for sharing it.

Dr. John sent me over here to take a peek and I'm glad he did. You have a wonderful blog. He can really spot out the good ones.

Oh, rocks are my building blocks. I haul them in and make paths and walls with them. When I lived near water we, my Mom and I would go rock hunting, trudging barefoot through the water looking for the most beautiful rocks. That was in the day when no one cared if you brought some home with you. I have moved many times, and the things I hated to leave most were my beautiful rocks......so the first thing I do when I get in my new place, is collect more.

So I loved this photo, and your appreciation for the rocks......

Dr. John must love rocks also......or he wouldn't have sent me this way....

Neat shot, Brenda. You got a snail while you were at it, I see.

I am here on my own today, but I see Dr. John found your blog and sent folks your way. I read his blog, too, so technically, I could say Dr. John sent me. LOL
